Sharing Miyagi 1951
Since its inception in 2016 more than 70,000 visitors have viewed the Miyagi1951.com website. In 2018 four exhibits were held in Sendai, Ishinomaki and Higashi-Matsushima and were viewed by more than 20,000 visitors. On October 1, 2019 the book 1951 Reborn was released in Ishinomaki, Japan. The book compiles seventy newspaper articles about individual George Butler photos. The articles were written by Ishinomaki historian, Seiji Henmi, in the Ishinomaki Kahoku newspaper between January 2018 and June 2019. The book is available for sale in Japan and may be available elsewhere if demand is sufficient.
